I did not have dealings with Honorable Eaton since he became a magistrate judge but I did when he was an attorney representing me several years ago. His representation involved a complex case with a major corporation engaged in a bitter battle with the employee's union. When I found myself between the proverbial rock and a hard place, Attorney Doug Eaton kept me level-headed and on the right path while things were getting scary and chaotic all around me. He offered me sound advice and continued to represent me pro-bono when my company conveniently turned its back on me. The nightmare eventually ended but the experience changed my life for ever. I believe that what he did for me is exemplary of the character of the person he is and I am certain that becoming a judge was only a natural progression of the level of fairness and compassion he possesses.
