This judge is renown and respected by other judges, the public and attorneys for her excellent negotiation skills during settlement proceedings. As a Pro Se litigant in 2006, against another Pro Se civil defendant, I was grateful for this judge's adroit guidance during the mandatory settlement conference. In spite of entrenched positions, Judge Nagle, and her courtroom clerk, and her staff of students or young attorneys, spent all day listening to both party's concerns and issues, and ultimately produced an agreement that resolved a dispute that had repeatedly seen litigants rebounding into both State and Federal courts for over a decade. Judge Nagle and her entire staff were unbelievably excellent.

She is extremely personable and funny with counsel during phone conferences. She understood that counsel could really figure a simple case out themselves, so she basically stayed out of the way. The case was settled and we saved lots of money for the client. A pleasure to work with.

The BEST judge in the Central District hands down. Your case will get settled. She makes both sides, especially hard nosed government attorneys have Come To Jesus moments. If you represent Plaintiffs, whether your case settles or not, your clients will come away feeling like they have been heard when they leave her courtroom and sometimes, hey most times, that is what our clients really want in the end. Hint, her courtroom promotes an atmosphere where if the matter does not settle as well as clients originally wanted, still they will leave satisfied. She should be a district judge, teaching the bad district judges in the Central District --- we all know who they are --- a thing or too about justice.

Judge Nagle was simply... amazing. Even with a cold and feeling sick, she brought two sides together, that for almost 2 years were miles apart. Judge Nagle has literally saved a project and years of hard work (on both side of the matter), that would have gone south otherwise. Hon. Margaret A. Nagle is excellent in every since of the word. Sincerely, Jazan Wild

Magistrate Judge Nagle is a judicial bully. She is lazy, lackadaisical, slothful, and slow-moving. Does not like her job.

This large, lazy benchwarmer likes tasks that do not have to do with reading and writing and enjoys tasks that involving talking. Her spounse, First Amendment guru Rex Heinke is the breadwinner, and she needs to have someplace to go during the day. She procrastinates, temporizes, and never will cut to the chase on her main task, handling discovery disputes. Because of her attitudes and sloth, she is not a very good jurist.

Clearly did not want to hear merits of discovery dispute, only wanted to process litigants through courtroom.

Judge Nagle worked hard during an eleven-hour negotiating session to bring very combative parties and lawyers to a point where a settlement and compromise could be reached.

Magistrate Nagle is excellent, particularly for conducting settlement conferences. She is very hard working, makes sure she knows the relevant areas of law very well before conducting a settlement conference and she is very, very bright. One of the best magistrates.

Avoid her at settlement conferences at all costs. Her method of settlement? Simply bullying. She will bring you back (and your client) until you can't take it anymore!

Judge Nagle has a bias in favor of large law firms and their lawyers and is concerned that her decisions will affect adversely her strong liberal credentials.
